Want to talk buttercream?

It has been a while since I have posted here in the Blog section. To be honest, I really don't know how your supposed to use a blog, but I am going to learn! I want my website to be more than a place for just viewing, I want it to be a place of interaction & education. I won't go on about the medical side of my life but, if anyone wants to know please reach out and ask! I will say that, I have to slow down on the amount that I do not only weekly but monthly.


Eventually, I would like to teach & create content for learning. I have never used fondant, so I wouldn't be the best person to ask about that, but if you want to know anything about buttercream I'm your gal! I get called a "Buttercream Connoisseur" or my favorite a "Buttercream Baroness" from just about anyone I run in to! It's quite flattering & humbles me very much! That seems like a good topic to start with #buttercream! What are your thoughts? What do you want to learn or know from me? What should we talk about?


Below is the cake the won the Great #Cincinnati Bake-Off 2025. Shows you exactly what CAN be done with just buttercream! Frank is the scarecrow & Bob is the spider. They are carved cake & 100% decorated with my signature #americanbuttercream. They are both hand painted & air brushed for color. I think they are pretty neat!

I think I'm pretty versatile in buttercream but not like you. I'm pretty good with fondant but would like to learn more using different mediums like wafer paper. I'm always willing to learn more about anything cake really lol. Your buttercream flowers always amaze me. Looking forward to learning more.

Hi! Thank you for your comment & your kind words about my work!! When I first started of course I did a LOT of research b/c I was starting to watch a lot of baking shows, this was about 12 years ago so it was Cake Boss & Charm City cakes. I thought that was the ONLY way that custom cakes were made & decorated was with fondant.
